Paula and Binker on Porthkidney Beach in Cornwall.

This oil painting has just been completed. It measures one metre across by 300 mm high. In oils on prepared canvas. It has a light and airy atmosphere. The subject matter involves Paula and our dog Binker, a Jack Russell terrier. It was very difficult to paint with the minute detail in the figures. The rocks on the left use artistic licence and make the composition more balanced. The sky is accurate and was very airy and bright. In the distance you can see the waves gently licking the shore. Also in the far distance one can recognise the Godrivey Lighthouse. The sea water on the right is marching in with the tide. Awaiting the return of the local fishing boats. Near Lelant, Hayle in Cornwall.
