A video of my commission in Edinburgh, at the Waverley Train Station. The brief was to acheive 100% coverage of the wall space. The paint chosen was Acrylic with flute brushes. The design was set by an exterior Design company. The actual job required me to improvise in certain portions of the job. The ancient prehistoric tree on the right, for example. The job required me to stay for three weeks. In a 4 star hotel on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
The job required 12 hours a day including weekends.

Total hours spent: 252 over 3 weeks. 84 hours a week.   @ £150 a day.

The commission involved painting the stone white with Lyme paint first. The original incised lettering was rubbed off over time. I'm used to re-establishing lettering that has failed. Just measure up and outline.
The job lasted just one day.

Total hours:  3 hours spent.  Total cost to client: £100.00

As you can see the building was very tatty and in need of attention. The client asked me to come up with a design that would fit their ideal strategy. First of all I painted the whole front a light blue. Then stripped the woodwork. The floral design fitted their 'rural idol' outlook. The last thing was to oil the woodwork with Danish oil.

Total hours:  150 over three weeks. Total cost to the client: £1700. Inc materials.
